In the session Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Castellano\u2019s appointment as BoD President was also approved. \u201cIt is an honor for Greenalia to incorporate someone with the business relevance and experience as Jose Mar\u00eda Castellano to its BoD, he is one of the most outstanding Spanish executives in the last decades. His appointment and the part he takes in shaping Greenalia\u2019s strategy comes as great news for us\u201d Manuel Garc\u00eda, Greenalia\u2019s CEO highlighted who also took the chance to congratulate and highlight Pablo Castellano and Beatriz Mato\u2019s appointments.<\/p>\n<p>The BoD, after this General Shareholder\u2019s Meeting approval of the new incorporations, is composed by six people: Manuel Garcia Pardo, Antonio Fern\u00e1ndez-Montells and Beatriz Mato, as executive board members; Antonio Couceiro, as independent board member; and Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Castellano and Pablo Castellano, as dominical board members.<\/p>\n<p>This renewal and growth of the BoD (from 4 to 6 members), is framed within Greenalia\u2019s Strategic Plan where the company is planning to join the Stock Exchange (Mercado Continuo) next year and to develop a 4-technology-pipeline (onshore wind, offshore wind, solar photovoltaic and biomass) in the next 5 years.<\/p>\n<p>From this moment, Greenalia\u2019s BoD will be composed of:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Manuel Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, CEO and Greenalia\u2019s founder and main shareholder.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antonio Fern\u00e1ndez-Montells,<\/strong> Greenalia\u2019s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Business Administration graduate and MBA (IESE Business School). \u202fWith over 14 years of experience, he\u2019s been Greenalia\u2019s CFO\u202fsince 2016. Previously, he was a consultant at Accenture, PwC and KPMG.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Norcorporate, SL, represented by Antonio Couceiro,<\/strong> Greenalia\u2019s independent director, is a civil engineer from the Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid (1978). He has a broad background in the business world and extensive professional experience. He served as conselleiro for the Ministry of Industry at the Xunta of Galicia, General Director at Begano and board member at Inveravante. He\u2019s currently President of the Chamber of Commerce, Afigal and Cesgar (Corporate Confederation of Mutual Reciprocity), and president of the Real Club Deportivo de La Coru\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beatriz Mato<\/strong>, Greenalia\u2019s CSO, Director of Corporate Development and Sustainability since February 2020, is an industrial engineer, major in Business Organization, from the Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales in Bilbao. MBA (UDC). For 13 years, she worked in the business setting at IBM, Rank Xerox and Norcontrol (now Applus), from where she joined the innovation department of IGAPE. From 2009 to 2018 she was a councilor in the Xunta de Galicia. Today she is also independent board member in Eukaltel Group and in Gesti\u00f3n and T\u00e9cnicas del Agua (Gestagua) SA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jos\u00e9 Maria Castellano<\/strong>, owns 5.18% of Greenalia\u2019s stock since June 2020, has extensive experience as a manager and investor. He became a member of Inditex\u2019s BoD in 1985 and in 1997 he was appointed as vice president and group CEO. He\u2019s also been the president of ONO and NovaGalicia Banco. Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Castellano has a doctorate in Economic and Business Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and is a professor of Financial Economics and Accounting at the University of A Coru\u00f1a and a member of the Spanish Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences. He\u2019s currently a member of various boards of directors at a number of prominent Spanish companies.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2015, <strong>Pablo Castellano<\/strong> has been president of the Family Office Nakadama, owned by Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Castellano.
