At Greenalia, we continue to invest in innovation and diversification in new technologies. That is why, starting in 2022, we have been promoting the development to operate a sixth technology: Green Hydrogen. In this way we diversify the risk factor by being in different technologies, and at the same time, we acquire greater stability and security to meet the objectives set out in our strategic plan.

This technology is based on the generation of hydrogen – a universal, light and highly reactive gas that can be stored and transported – through a chemical process known as electrolysis. This method, when it uses electricity from renewable sources to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen in water, is called green hydrogen, producing a source of energy storage without emitting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
