Greenalia joins forest stewardship council® (FSC®) international

• FSC was created 25 years ago and promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests
• Greenalia moves a step further in its 2023 target of sourcing its Biomass Plant with 100% forestry residue from certified plantations

Greenalia takes another step forward in its goal of producing renewable energy while also taking care of the environment. Greenalia Forest has just ratified its membership in FSC International, an organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests.

Greenalia was already a member of FSC Spain, and now broadens its scope to include other places in the world. For the company sustainable management is key to preserve our world’s environment and biodiversity.
The Green Company prioritizes work with forestry residues from certified plantations aiming at 100% certified sourcing in 2023. In this line, the company promotes certification for small landowners, provides financing and technical support to a certification body that already accounts for 1.700 members.
