Greenalia reinforces its collaboration with Basquet Coruña and will finance children’s scholarships

  • The company will also renew its contribution to the “17 games, 17 causes” program, aimed at giving visibility to different charitable associations that work for the social integration of different groups

Greenalia reinforces its collaboration with the Club Básquet Coruña, an entity to which it will finance twenty training scholarships aimed at children at risk of exclusion and will finance the social visibility initiative “17 games, 17 causes“.

Through the collaboration with the club, the renewable energy producer will pay, on the one hand, and for the fourth consecutive year, the expenses derived from the training in the sporting practice of the club (registration, equipment, and fees) of these students during the 23/24 academic year.

As stated in the agreements signed between the president of the A Coruña club, Roberto Cibeira, and Greenalia’s CSO, Beatriz Mato, the company will also renew its contribution to the “17 matches, 17 causes” program. This project aims to make visible the work of different solidarity associations for the social integration of groups in situations of special vulnerability.

Greenalia, through the Greenalia Foundation for Energy Transition, “reinforces our commitment to our immediate environment, in this case, in the city where we have our headquarters, with local alliances that promote positive changes in society. We are proud to be able to do so, moreover, with an entity with so much support, with a long tradition of sport and solidarity that in turn contributes to making visible the extraordinary work of 17 social entities in the city,” said Beatriz Mato.

For its part, Básquet Coruña appreciates and thanks the effort made by Greenalia so that children of different ages, who are at risk of exclusion, can continue to enjoy and develop their favorite sporting activity, as well as the intention to publicize the work of different social entities.
