Greenalia grows in US with three new solar developments, totalling 502 MW

  • With this new operation, the company continues to advance its presence and technological diversification in the American market

Greenalia has acquired 3 utility scale solar farms totaling 502 MWp in Ercot, Texas. The projects are Donegal Solar (265 MWp, Dickens County, TX), Leitrim Solar (119 MWp, Hill County, TX) and Roscommon Solar (118 MWp, Lamar County, TX). All of them are at an advanced stage of development with a planned COD date in early 2025.

We are delighted to acquire these high-quality solar projects. This acquisition is an important step in consolidating our strategic plan, which has the United States as a key focus”, said Greenalia CEO Manuel Garcia

Greenalia, which started its activity in the US two years ago, acquired in 2021 a renewable energy company with a portfolio of 695MWp of ready-to-build (RTB) solar PV, plus 385MW of battery storage. To this portfolio were added this year 4 new solar installations Wensowitch, Ratcliff, Reis and Wittig, totaling 451MW.

Therefore, with the recent acquisition, Greenalia’s solar pipeline in the US now totals almost 1.7 GW.
